AM V200 - JAN 2021
Novato, CA, USA π
I began my yoga journey about 6 years ago on a whim by attending a class at a local gym, and have been hooked ever since! My passion is making yoga accessible and fun for all bodies and skill levels. I earned my foundational 200 hr training through Authentic Movements and will be continuing my yoga education in July 2021 with AMβs 300-hr advanced training.
Reflecting on the AM YTT Experience
Why did you choose Authentic Movements for your YTT?
I chose Authentic Movements for my initial 200 hr training because I loved the versatility and accessibility of an online training. My original in-person training was canceled due to COVID, and it was a blessing in disguise – because the AM training was focused on creativity and functional anatomy, which was exactly what I was looking for!
How did the online training platform work for you?
With a 9-5 job, taking the online training at my own pace whenever I had free time was perfect. The online platform was easy to navigate, and the AM team was always available when I had any questions.
How has your teaching changed since completing the AM YTT?
My teaching style has dramatically changed since I completed the training – I am much more drawn to accessible classes for every body type, as well as creative flows that are not only fun, but keep my students on their toes!
How have you engaged with the AM community of alums and students during and after the training?
I love the AM alum community. There are several trainees from around the globe that I connected with immediately, and we are still in contact to this day! They are always available to bounce ideas off of, and practice with virtually through Zoom. Itβs a lovely community!
What was your favorite part of the course content?
I absolutely loved the creative vinyasa flows included in each chapter, because they were all so unique. But also the myofascial release classes from Bianca – I had never practiced this before, and it blew my mind! Hoping to learn much more about myofascial release in the future. |
