I got to know yoga for the first time almost 25 years ago when I was graduating from high school and have always integrated it more or less strongly into my life. It was a constant in every pregnancy, where it became my anchor before, during and at least shortly after the birth. With the birth of my last child 6 years ago, I stayed true to the yoga practice and really wanted to deepen and pass on my own practice. The YTT 200 with authentic movements is my first yoga teacher training.

Reflecting on the AM YTT Experience
Why did you choose Authentic Movements for your YTT?
Β | I am fortunate to have a yoga teacher here who comes from martial arts and teaches a very moving style of yoga. His studio is therefore also called movement yoga. When all studios here in Germany had to close for a long time in the course of the corona pandemic, I looked for a replacement for the moving yoga practice – and finally found you and got through all the lockdowns with your practice platform. And I was more than happy when I read that you offer pure online training. Anything else would simply not have been feasible for me, I was definitely dependent on the absolutely free time planning and could never have completed it with you in the USA. I really like the yoga style that you represent and I’ve learned a lot on the practice platform, which has helped me a lot. |
How did the online training platform work for you?
Β | The platform worked great, if there were any problems, Caitlyn was able to solve them very quickly, I found it clear and well structured. |
How has your teaching changed since completing the AM YTT?
Β | Since this was my first YTT, I can’t answer that. |
How have you engaged with the AM community of alums and students during and after the training?
Β | You had established contact with another German student, we exchanged ideas a few times, but overall I had hardly any contact with anyone from the program. β¦.perhaps that will change now as an alumni. |
What was your favorite part of the course content?
Β | My favorite part? It’s hard to say, but I think it was the yoga classes, which were all small mini-workshops. And the fact of how you wrote your own flow more or less from behind… |
