AM V200 - June 2023
Prince William Sound, AK | USA π
Growing up I was very active, completing in gymnastics, cross country and track and field. After completing my bachelor’s in biology at the University of South Carolina I jump around between many states and jobs before landing where I am now, a fish culturist at a remote salmon hatchery in Alaska. This was my first YTT.

Reflecting on the AM YTT Experience
Why did you choose Authentic Movements for your YTT?
Β | I love the way Authentic Movements looks at the body. My initial interest in yoga was focused on the physical body (though the YTT has gotten me to think much more about the subtle body). I think Authentic Movements does such a wonderful job integrating anatomy with freedom and play. |
How did the online training platform work for you?
Β | Where I live is only accessible by boat or float plane. The only thing on the island is the salmon hatchery. It was so nice to be delve deeper into yoga at home. If not for the online accessibility I would not have been able to do a YTT. |
How has your teaching changed since completing the AM YTT?
Β | The only thing on the island I live on is the salmon hatchery. There are 10-25 people living on the island with me depending on the time of year. It is so great to be able to share yoga with these people! |
What was your favorite part of the course content?
Β | Going in I thought for sure it would be the classes, which were incredible, but it was the anatomy lectures that got me glued to me screen! |
