Erin Kelly - Lead Teacher

Erin Kelly’s (@erinkellyart) a Yoga and Movement Educator, who currently travels the world leading in-person events and also has a wide variety of online continued education courses available with her school Authentic Movements. She has been practicing, studying and teaching yoga since 2001 and grew up playing soccer, running track, and was a competitive swimmer. With over 2000 hours of certified educational hours, Erin has studied with Ana Forrest, Noah Maze, Christina Sell, Megan Currie, Yancy Swatch (Dharma & Rocket) and Patrick Beach.

She is known for her personal grace and fluidity of movement in both practice and teaching, and can often be found upside down or cultivating creativity through unusual transitions. Her teaching style is refreshing and playful, while still incorporating precise cues and pose breakdowns to help students understand the movements of their bodies and the path to personal growth. Inversions, arm balances and backbends are fun to learn, but most importantly it’s the process of connecting to an inner trust of our body’s movements that plants the greatest seed for growth and development.

In 2016 Erin open Authentic Movements- a movement science and yoga school, with Stevi Gongora. Currently hosting a wide variety of continued education courses, as well as a module – hybrid 300 hr (500 track) Yoga Teacher Training. While she does still offer a 200 YTT her passion is more geared towards creating education for the continual growth of a practitioner and teacher alike.  Now a days, Erin is devoting much of her time traveling around the U.S. teaching in different city’s as the importance of experiencing each community is her prime focus.

A true artist by nature, Erin received a BFA in Oil Painting with a minor in Art History and Psychology   from The Maryland Institute College of Art. She is passionate about the idea that if we open our bodies up physically, we can tap into all sorts of creative, emotional, and psychological breakthroughs. Whether it’s with a paintbrush in hand or just through body movement, Erin is continuously creating her own form of art and expression and believes we all have this freedom of expression.
