BONUS LIVE CLASS

Movement ebb and flow

Lilo

Description: Fascia is that ubiquitous connective tissue that wraps around every tissue in our body, creating, both, separations and connection. In this class, we will explore our deep myofascial volumes – which include muscle parts, organs, vessels, nerves, bones, etc. – focusing on spirals and twists in dynamic movements such as squeezing and stretching, sliding and gliding, lengthening and rcompressing, swinging and throwing, working these movements in different speeds, directions and rhythms. By tuning into the movements created from the fascial stimuli, we will be focusing on creating a continuous flow of movement that is generated from the volume of the deep fascia and travels to the extremities of our bodies. You can use this class as a warm up, since it generates warmth and tissue lubrication, but also as creative restorative, since it is slow paced and mindfully guided so that it can provide tissue hydration and release.
For this class all we need is a somewhat gliding floor, a pair of socks and optional mat or a blanket. If you have sensitive knees and elbows, I’d highly suggest that you wear comfortable clothings that will protect these areas, as well as providing more opportunities to slide and glide on the floor. This can mean, for example, long sleeves and sweatpants =D
