200HR Teacher Training
Taos, NM | July 2024Lead by Erin Kelly & Alexis Yauch with Stevi Gongora & Anthony Difiglio
Join the Authentic Movements team for a 20 day, 21 night 200-HR Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in the magical mountains of Taos, New Mexico and all the yoga one could ask for at Hyperslow Retreat Center.
This training will be led by head teachers, Erin Kelly & Alexis Yauch.
They will be joined by, Anthony Difiglio (strength coach and meditation) and Stevi Gongora (anatomy & creative sequencing).
An intimate and community building experience, this YTT is the perfect setting for those wishing to start their yoga teaching experience, as well as those looking to revive their practice or delve deeper into their teaching and asana. And remember, teacher training isn’t only for those looking to teach! It’s also a great opportunity to hone your personal practice and body awareness.
Come flow with us as we plant seeds, tend to our gardens, and work our way into the complex, but rewarding world of yoga. Upon completion, you will be able to register as an RYT-200 with the Yoga Alliance, and start your journey as a yoga teacher, if you so choose. Days will be full, but gratifying, and what better place to immerse yourself with the ancient healing properties of this magnificent land surrounding you?
Team AM is a group of incredibly intelligent and creative teachers. This training gave me the knowledge and courage to get out there and create my own unique offerings for my community. I felt very prepared and confident about my teaching and sequencing capabilities. I would do both trainings over & over again if I could

I loved connecting with my cohort members throughout the training and having honest conversations about life. I am forever grateful to AM for holding space for us alumni and offering their guidance along the way
HOW IT WORKS…
The 19 day, in-person intensive constitutes 165 of 200HRs for your Foundational Yoga Teacher Training.
Based on our extensive experience, we believe that certain content is best delivered before and after our in-person gathering. We’ve thoughtfully gathered approximately 10-15HRs of preparatory work in advance, reserving the remaining content for your post-Taos journey.
Once the in-person intensive comes to an end, you’ll carry the communal inspiration home with you as you work through a few guided assignments to apply and cement the teachings to your personal needs and style.
Upon completion of the assignments, passing the final exam, and acceptably demonstrating an understanding of the training pillars through your full practicum, you’ll be awarded your 200HR Yoga Teacher Training Certificate that can be registered with Yoga Alliance if you wish.
Once your application is accepted and your spot secured, expect pre-work package and future training details on January 15th, 2024. If you’re accepted after this date, you’ll receive your pre-work package via email within five business days of confirming your registration and deposit.
We are eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to work together on this journey and cannot wait to welcome you to our community!
If you’re thinking about it, this is the training to take!! The course is full of anatomy and asanas and really funky fun movement that will make you sweat! It also makes you think so much more beyond just “do this pose because it comes next”. I personally have so much more knowledge than I would have thought coming out of a 200 hour ytt! Loved every minute!
WHAT TO EXPECT…
This training is open to ALL-LEVELS, however some proficiency in yoga (asana) practice is helpful in order to make the most of your time with us. We will be spending quite a lot of time on the mat, and discussing/practicing teaching, so we suggest at least one year of regular yoga practice for all applicants. Not sure if you’re the right fit? Email us!

This schedule may vary on a daily basis, and there may be a bit more free time on some days as well as some short and helpful homework assignments.
We ask that attendees please be on time to avoid delays. Some morning or evening studio time will be silent time to allow those with a meditation practice to create a calm and comfortable space.
Note: This training is a sober event. We ask that all attendees refrain from drinking or drug usage (including marijuana) during the full course of the training dates. Authentic Movements attracts quite a few students who are sober and/or in recovery, and we aim to create a safe space for all attendees. Thank you for understanding.
I didn’t know what to expect going into this training, but let me tell you, Authentic Movements exceeded anything I could have imagined. I was immediately and continued to be blown away with the content – from history, philosophy, asana, anatomy, business, etc. It was an honor to learn from Stevi, Erin, Bianca, and all the other teachers. If you are into creative sequencing rooted in anatomy and biomechanics, then this school is for you!!

I love the concept of logical and creative sequencing! I often receive complements that my classes are always different/inventive and yet challenging, while feeling good to my students’ bodies. Students will also comment that they are more successful at challenging poses in my class because of the preparation work we do throughout the class. Thank you, Authentic Movements, for sharing your knowledge and approach! The course was very well thought out and put together!
